About Care Home Accountants

You tell us what you run and what you need doing. We come back with a fixed fee in writing, and once it is agreed we take over the bookkeeping, the VAT, the payroll and the returns, or whichever of those you asked for. There is no hourly clock and no charge for a question asked between filings.

Where you already have an accountant, there is a standard handover, and we can pick up part-way through a year. Where you are a first-time owner, we set the records up from the start so the funding reconciliation and the first year end are planned rather than a scramble.

Care funding, the means-test limits and the tax reliefs on a sale all move, so every figure on the site, every rate, threshold and date, is checked against the primary source, gov.uk, an HMRC notice, the local authority charging guidance or the court judgment itself, and dated. Where we cannot confirm something to a primary source, we leave it off rather than guess.

There are no invented testimonials, no stock photographs of other people's homes, and no named author we cannot stand behind. The guidance is written and reviewed in-house and reviewed again when the rules change.
